One of my colleagues, R. Brent Rawlings, JD, MHA, FACHE, recently wrote the below Client Alert and White Paper discussing the temporarily delayed expansion of the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program. It is important to note that although RACs may initially focus their audit efforts on Medicare reimbursable services provided by acute care hospitals, LTACH Medicare claims are also subject to review by RACs.
